tranny jerking

After driving about 100 miles in the mountains today at interstate speeds, i stopped at a red light. when it turned green i started off slow and when my auto tranny changed from 1st to 2nd i got a hard jerk. this happened each time i went from 1st to 2nd (all other gear changes had no trouble). the jerk was more intense the faster i started out. after the truck was parked for about 30 min at my grandmas, i got back in it to go get some Hardees and it wasnt jerking anymore. it hasnt done it since. the truck is a 2000 v6 auto s10. what could be the cause of this?

thanks

Re: tranny jerking

Sounds like a sticking valve or broken spring in the valve body. Can you say warranty work? Better get that puppy in there. Warranty complaints are hard to resolve as it is, Tom
