brakes problems

I went wheeling on saturday and on the ride home my brakes were kinda soft and every once in a while the brakes light would come on. Also I have an oil leak coming from the back of the motor, I have changed both valve cover gaskets and and the distibuter o-ring and gasket. The last thing I can think of would be the intake gasket, but that is a huge pain with the supercharger on there so if anyone can give me another option to try it would be a great help.
Thanks in advance

Re: brakes problems

is it leaking fromt he top or the bottom of the motor. if it is the bottom, could be the rear main - big pain in the ars. try washing the engine off, then run it and see where it is leaking from.

Re: brakes problems

I tried washing it and checking for the leak but can't see anywhere that looks really oily besides the valleys between then intake and the valve covers. Both vavle covers are straight and do not appear to be leaking at all. I think this weekend I will pull the supercharger and change the intake gaskets. As far as the brakes go, they seem to have fixed them selves. I took a hose and sparyed the rear drums real well and they have been good since then. Thanks for your replys.
