4 wheel drive not working

im new to this stuff...but here it goes i just bought a 1994 chevy blazer the tahoe version for 200 dollars...i know nothing about four wheel drive but when i push the switch to make it engauge it clicks and sounds like it goes in but.. it doesn't work i got under it and tried to turn the driveshaft for the front wheels and it doesnt move it just clicks like it is engauged in the transfercase but the front tires wont spin just the back do whats wrong..how can i fix this problem im getting some 31's for cheap soon and i want the 4 wheel drive to work

Is this a full size or s10?

To put your truck in 4x4 do you have a button or a lever?

It is likely your linear actuator is shot, or has bad wiring. It is up front on top of the front diff. Unless that pulls the shifter fork, you will not get 4x4.

it is the s10 and it is the dumb button actuator

Check the vacuum actuator located under the battery trey. Remove the battery, remove the trey. You will see a vaccum diaphragm, check for any leaks in the diaphragm and in the hoses going to it. If this has a tear in it, it will not pull the shift fork in the diff housing.
