2wd to 4wd conversion

I have a 1996 2wd s10 and was wondering if it ac be converted to 4wd? I have a friend who has a 1984 K5 4x4 blazer i can steal axles and other parts from and was wondering if this is possible. I really hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

It would be better to just build the K5. Do you have extensive use of a fabrication shop?

i agree w/ contourcrazy. why even consider converting the s10 when youve got a freakin K5 sittin around. if i had one of those i wouldnt even be typing right now, id have a note on my door that says "gone muddin". anyway, unless you have free access to that fab. shop, it would just be cheaper to buy a newer 4x4 or ZR2 s10
