Hey guys and gals,
Just purchased a 99 trailblazer XLT. Do you guys know of Transmissions failing around 72,000. Third gear just went out. The dealer is paying to have it fixed free of charge to me. Very respectable dealership. Any warnings? Thanks for any help on the matter and I hope this hasn't been covered before. At the moment I don't have time to research because work is kicking me in the rear.

OK I get my truck back this afternoon. There was a disentegrated clutch pack and a cracked drum on the inside of the transmission. I have no idea what caused the failure but I now have a newly rebuilt tranny w/ a new torque converter. Better yet the shop is giving me a 6 month warranty on the parts and labor. I look forward to getting my truck back and can't wait to start using it for some offroad action. LMAO. This truck will not probably see much off raod action but it's cool to think about it atleast.
