sway bar won\'t go back in after a lift

Hi, I just put a 2" suspension lift on my 93 S-10 Blazer. Now we can't seem to get the sway bar back in because the mounts at the ends near the control arms don't match up with their holes, so we can't get it bolted back in. Do we need to drill new holes? Anybody else had this problem?

I had that problem with my 96 jimmy. I forced it back together and the bolt broke on the passenger side soon after. I myself just run without the sway bar. It's a little rolly in the corners, but not bad enough to really hurt anything. You also get way better flex.
