94 s15 4wheelslipping

anyone know why a 94 s15 would slip out of 4 wheel and slam back in . it doesnt always happen and i already fixed the vaccumm lines. for some reason it works fine in reverse i drove it a mile thru 15 inches of snow in reverse but going forward it will slip out and sometimes i can hear it wanting to lock back in but it doesnt until i stop the tires from spinning
thanks dave

Re: 94 s15 4wheelslipping

There is a thing called a 4x4 Posi-Lok that is supposed to fix that by bypassing the vaccum acuator. I dont have one on my s15 yet but am planning on installing one. Try going to www.desertrat.com they run about $120. a pic of my s-15 is attached.
