1993 S10 Blazer remote entry programming

All:

I was hoping someone could shed some light on my issue. In order to program a remote I read on another post to

1) insert a paper clip or a piece of wire from the upper right terminal to the lower left terminal of the Data Link Connector.

2) The door locks should cycle.

3) Press any key on the remote.

4) Locks should again cycle.

and you're done.

Is this correct? Just want to make sure I don't screw something up. If it's not could someone let me know how it's supposed to be done? And the last question, a stupid one, is the DLC the connector below the dash down by the driver's right knee?

Thanks for your inputs

Re: 1993 S10 Blazer remote entry programming

Well there was no answer from anyone here on this board so I went to another and got my answer. The connections are the A and G, black with white striped wire and a purple wire. They are to top right and bottom left on my S10. With the key on, insert the paper clip to connect the two terminals and the doors should lock then unlock. Press a button on a remote and the doors should cycle again. The remote is programmed. Repeat for each remote. Once done, remove the paper clip and shut off the key.
