tranny probs- 4L60E

got a '93 s-15 jimmy 4.3L w/ 4L60E auto, trans slippes bad anytime in 3rd, second holds ok up to abou 30-35, seems to falter at higher rpms in gear range(pressure?), changed fluid n filter---it was BAD!----hey! wasnt me....i just bought it!

anyway, question is....will a shift kit do any good or is this more of a full rebuild situation?

any line on a manual for this trans would be appreciated.....

A shift kit will just enhance your problems, don't go that route. You'd be best off getting it checked out by a transmission pro.

A Shift kit will fix your tranny in about the same way as a paint job will fix a wrecked car ...... it'll still be wrecked but now a different color
