U- Joint problem?
My 98 2wd 5spd 2.2L single cab sonoma has a 3" suspension lift on it. I used an add a leaf and longer shackles to lift the back end. i have driven about 10,000 miles since i lifted it and i started hearing a clink noise when i start out in 1st and then when i shift into 2nd. it would only only be for a second and then it would do fine. now, at slower speeds i have a metal scraping sound that is intermittent when accelerating and then at high speeds (60+ mph), I am getting a vibration that wasnt there before. Is this a U-joint problem or something else? The extended shackles on the leaf springs cause the input to the rear end to be tilted up slightly, will this cause my u-joints to go bad from now on, or is it not a factor? 3" isnt enough lift to need to need a different drive shaft is it?
