Re: leakin rear end take a look

it started leaking the other day after i broke in my new mudpit. isn't this supposed to be sealed off?

also...what's this thing? it looks like a hood alignment support or something but the left bar is loose and i was wondering if it should be tightened???

Re: leakin rear end take a look

not kidding bro, but dont be too hard on me, i've done everything BUT gears. there's a first time for everything, right? i guess it's time to learn something new. im wondering, while the truck is on stands, if i should lock the rear end now? it's just a 10-bolt right? it's got a posi now, but i'd like a detroit. is there anything i should know before buying a locker? is there different detroit's available for 10 bolts?

dont worry about it homey i like learning new [bleep]. so what about a detroit? am i going to have to look for a specific ring size or are they all the same for 10 bolts? i'd really like to install it now if i can find one.

Re: leakin rear end take a look

I doubt you have a ten bolt can't remember what rear came in an S-10 but the dealer who sell's the locker will be able to look it up for ya look in a petersons mag and call one of the shops in there. ps. ten bolt refers to the number of bolts in the ring gear and not in the cover
