Corroded + cable

found that my batteries pos connection was completely corroded out. The terminal was eaten through and the cable just fell right out and as well was severely corroded. Dealer wants $360 to replace the pos. and neg. cables, and battery. Anyone know where else to get these cables and how to connect them? It's gonna rain this week and all i have now is my motorcycle- yikes!

Re: Corroded + cable

I was told that the positive cable assembly was only about $60. I think that they want a little too much for what you need.

Other option, if it's just the terminal that needs to be replaced, is to get one from an auto parts store that you can clamp down on the wire. I think those are temp fixes, but it's a fix nonetheless.

Seems to be a problem with batteries on Chevy. I had the same problem with my '98; the positive terminal started pulling out and leaking acid. I ended up getting an Optima yellow-top to get rid of that problem!
