Chromoly Away!!

Does any one know of a website that sells Chromoly axle shafts or just beefier shafts for the a corporate 10 bolt rear axle. I plan on soupin up my Iron Duke in my S-15 and I wanna make sure my axle can handle it.

Re: Chromoly Away!!

I was going to say Currie Enterprises, but I just checked the web site and they have nothing on axles, unless you want a 12 bolt.

And to be honest, with the low spline count on the 10-bolt, I'm wondering if chromoly is enough to keep it strong. You might be better off (and cheaper off!) finding either a 12-bolt or even a Ford 9", if you're considering dropping a v-8 in there IMHO.

Oh, and I just remembered the name of the place to check out -- Moser Engineering.

Re: Chromoly Away!!

Lessee.... Camaro 12-bolts will do the trick too. but if it's just a tweaked up 4-popper that's gonna be run, you can find a 7.625" 10 bolt from an 88 or newer truck. they're beefier units. not much beefier, but beefier none the less.
