stalling etc...

I have an 88' blazer with the 4.3 in it. When it rains or I wash it really good it starts surging as I drive down the road. If i put it to the floor it pulls fine. It was so bad today I came home and after about 2 minutes of driving and it even stalled during my idle through the parking lot. I was thinking I could be getting something grounded out on the pump when the tank gets wet but like today I never even got far enough to get anything wet. So I'm alittle confused and I don't want to take it to a shop cause it probably won't do it then. Anybody have this problem??? I had a friend with a dakota that was doing the same thing and he changed the foam around his computer and it went away. Thats what he said the dealer told him, I had a durango and I don't remember any foam in or around the computer though.

If you can reproduce the problem without getting it wet I would say it has more to do with air quality than anything else. During rainy weather it's probably a little colder outside. Unless of course it was still wet when you took it out again, and the water pooled up somewhere.

But really, it sounds like an air/fuel problem to me! When's the last time you replaced the 02 sensors?

I just had a 1990 4.3 in the shop because it was spudering and stalling everyso offen more when it was cold. Or really hot. COIL, DISTRIBUTER CAP, TEST YOUR ALT mine seemed to be working fine but she was toast. I replaced these and she runs like new. Just a few ideas for ya good luck.

Sounds like the allergy to water the Grizzmobile has... Oh well, I should be finding out Monday afternoon if they're fixing the engine under my EWP.
