some extra help on SFA

I picked up september's issue of "4wheel" and off-road magazine. It has a project of switching a truck from 2 to 4 wheel drive. it is about the same as IFS to SFA. It shows good pics and gave me a lot better idea of what to do. They are going to do the next 2 months on the brakes, steering, and finishing the axle setup. Hope it helps someone as much as it is me.

Re: some extra help on SFA

I just got done helpin my neighbor make his 2wd fullsize extracab into a 4wd, it is about the same as doin a SFA, cause you are puttin a straight axle, were a IFS lived, the only thing that sucked on his is that the frame rails have big "humps" in them that were used for the coil springs, but other than that same ol song and dance!

That's why you shoulda went with coils on the front of that one. More difficult though. My buddy is doing that with his 2wd S-10. Coils front and 4-link, ising K5 axles so he has tomake coil buckets on the axle.
