Basic Trail Run planning 101
Make sure you work a job that pays REALLY well, and gives you the luxury to take any Friday you want off, to make it easier to pack & go on a run.
Always load gear and non-perishable foods the night before you leave.
Always leave the night before the run, or refer to section 4.
If you're heading to the staging point the day of, wake up plenty early so you can go over everything twice. That means no staying up until 3 AM boinkin' your significant other.
 Never EVER forget the map.
If your truck isn't healthy before you leave the house, don't even bother going. Mother Earth will be happier that way.
Turn your damn CB on before you leave. Tune it to the channel your group is using for the run, maybe you'll meet up with one or two on the highway, and convoy out.
Never EVER forget the map, and the written directions in case the map sucks.
You packed a camera, USE IT!
If you're gonna burn off over a gallon of oil round trip, it's time to fix your rig.
I scored 1 out of 10. I feel like such a moron.
