bucket seats...

Anyone price bucket seats and mounts for standard cabs lately? What years would fit my '98 standard cab if I went to a junk yard?

Also, does anyone know if I'd had to drill another hole in the floor to mount them?

Re: bucket seats...

Hey J.R.

Here in Maryland, I just put a pair of bucket seats in my truck and they only costed me about 50 bucks a piece. Now since you want seats for '98 it would cost you about 200 bucks for each seat and the hardware with them. It all just depends on how long you want to wait for the right color. Also you asked if you would have to drill holes for the yes, you will i had to drill four new holes ( two on the driver's side and two on the passenger side. But they are all in the center near the consle.)And your other question about what year's would fit, i think any of the newerstyles are interchangeable with each other. But if you need any further info just let me know. Mike

Re: bucket seats...

Thanks for the response, amigo...

I am either considering spending the money on factory seats (used of course), or I might go another route with Master Craft Racing Seats and see if they'll fit with factory seats mounts or a custom mount...

Re: bucket seats...

I say go with the race seat if you don't mind not haveing recline.... Try these places:

http://www.beardseats.com/
http://www.corbeau.com/
http://www.mastercraftseats.com/

You can get some really comfortable seats. A lot better support than stock. Plus you can race with the seat if ya ever wanted to. Thinking of replacing the worn out drivers side in mine for one of these. Not sure who or witch one. If ya go this route update us on it.....

Re: bucket seats...

I definitely will let you know when it's all said and done. I might have someone who can get me the seats pretty cheap, but don't know if it will happen or not through him...
