NATIONAL GAS-OUT

NATIONAL GAS-OUT

April 7,8,9 2000

To help bring GAS PRICES DOWN where they should be all you have to do is fill up before these dates. Don't buy gas on these dates AND don't make any purchases at gas stations with mini markets. OPEC is aware of the National gas Out and is lowering prices to appease us, but they will go right back up! JOIN IN! The gas out will back up all the way to the refineries!!

HELP LOWER GAS PRICES...IT'S UP TO YOU!

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

I hate to be the pessimist here, but... with the growing number of people driving automobiles and decreasing amount of available petroleum, the law of supply and demand says higher gas prices are an inevitable occurence. The only real way to lower prices would be for everyone to cut back on their personal fuel consumption on a daily basis. Maybe they'll come out with a hybrid truck that gets 50 mpg and still puts out 300 hp .

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

Here's some data about who is really to blame here. According to a newspaper article I read, current worldwide daily consumption of crude oil is 78 million barrels versus current production of 75 million barrels per day. Sure, OPEC has reduced their output, but after the previous oil shortages measures were taken to avoid another one of these artificial crisis. OPEC is only a minor reason for current gas prices. The Clinton (and Gore) administration can take the wind out of OPEC's sails immediately by releasing crude from our reserves, which is what they were intended for. The oil companies have asked the administration to release enough oil so supply would exceed demand once again. The oil companies would replenish whatever was taken from the reserves. But the environmental community has convinced Clinton and Gore that you and I are pigs because we drive the dreaded SUV. They have convinced the administration that higher fuel prices are the only way to get SUV's and gas guzzlers off the highway. So Clinton has sided with the environmentalists once again. Energy Secretary Richardson keeps saying, hang on, we're applying pressure to Mexico and Saudi Arabia to produce more. BIG DEAL! We created the reserves so we would not be held hostage by OPEC. But once again, we're being held economic hostage by OPEC and their new partner, the environmentalists.

The oil companies are caught in the middle. The crude oil found off shore the West Coast, which is relatively less expensive to produce, was declared too environmentally "sensitive" to explore by the same administration that refuses to release the reserves. I wonder who's idea that was!!!! Crude prices have gone up enough so domestic production ( which is more expensive because the easy oil was declared off limits) can resume again. We have plenty of oil, but it can't be produced at $10 per barrel. Don't blame your local gas station, don't blame the domestic refiners, don't blame OPEC, blame our good friends (sic) in DC, Wild Willy and ALGORE! Write, call, or E-Mail your Congressman to protest. It's simple economics, supply and demand. Challenge their thinking. Most likely the source of their data is from the people that think four wheeling is a sin!

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

Klinton and Algore ARE the environmental community, they aren't influenced by the other environmentalists. They are likd this all on their own... Klinton is an environmentalist, and will always be an environmentalist, and Algore wants stuff like The Wildlands Project to happen, and supports ecoterrorists. The best way to permanently fix the fuel price problem is to VOTE THE SOCIALISTIC DEMOCRATIC ENVIRONMENTALIST TREE HUGGERS OUT OF OFFICE!!!. And then in a few years, when I run for the Presidency, vote for me...

Can you just imagine the Secret Service in their street prepared Suburbans and/or their HMMWV's following me around off road, through some mud pits and stuff? That'd definitely be

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

Well I would be inclined to agree with most of that except the part about the reserves.
Actualy that isn't it's complete name it's the national stratigic defence oil reserve, and in my
never humble opinion coughing up an extra .50-.75cent at the pump doesn't qualify
as a stratigic defence emergency. What no one seems to rember is that 30% of the oil that
comes out of Alaska goes to the land of rice to keep there price for gas at a reasonable level,
if we kept that oil here at home that would make a dent and if the current money hungry
socialist regime that feels our pain would back off the taxs for a little while (never happen)
that would probably put "fuel oil" where it was previously. As far as the greenies whining
about enviro damage in Alaska, word is only 20-30% of the fields in the gulf have been tapped.
I don't believe the oil companies anyway they are are showing record profits and are not in any
big hurry to put an end to it, everyone will keep using the same amount of gas no matter what
it costs because we have become an oil dependant mobile society.
oh well thats my two lincolns ,for what it is worth.
Later
P.S. hey Sandman,I'd vote for ya.Where do I sign up for a ride in OR1

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

There is a TON of oil sitting under the ground in various places scattered all over the world.. As I remember hearing, Russia has massive deposits of crude oil under the ground there. If we helped them out to start producing oil, the prices could go down again. The stuff in Alaska, and for that matter there's some up near the Arctic circle in Canada too (to the best of my recollection) supposedly has too much sulphur in it for our environmentalist wacko President to want to let us use here. Have you ever wondered about where the environmentalist wackos that are in Klinton's Kabinet came from before they were appointed to their new positions??? Check this site out to find out: http://www.undueinfluence.com

Contrary to what the wacko environmentalists or anyone working for the government tries to sell to you as the truth, there are a ton of oil reserves. They are trying their scare tactics to try and speed up the production of alternatively powered vehicles. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather tune my 454, instead of in the future having to pull the electric motor and have it re-wound to get it some more power...

I'm counting on you guys to be in my Cabinet when I am elected President... One of my platforms for my campaign is that I'll make it a LAW (If the wacko left Democratic Socialist environmental weirdos can do it, so can I) that says if you are a member of an environmental wacko organization, or do sabotage or anything of that nature, you will be forced to live near the arctic circle in a tent made of ice and living only on ice that they can eat... We'll find out how long they can survive while having an absolute minimum impact on the environment...

One of the best things about you guys being in the Cabinet would be that OR1 would be accessable by you guys too...

Re: NATIONAL GAS-OUT

Well, if it makes you feel better, the Republicans are looking at a temporary, if not permanent revision of the gas tax (federal is currently 18.4 cents per gallon). CA states is looking at doing some modifications to their tax structure as well.

AND to make matters BETTER, there is a bill pending that would allow the US to withdraw assistance, up to and including military help, to any country which is engaged in price fixing when it comes to oil...

I think people on The Hill have finally heard that people like us are sick of paying the price for gas...
