Re: gear ratio

If nothing has changed in a while the gear ratio is on the list of options on the glove box. It used to be just wrote out but now it is all in codes. I called a local dealer to see what mine was. It should start with a G. A few of them are GU4, GU6, GU8, GT4. It should look something like that. If anyone knows of where you can find out what these codes are online somewhere I would like to know where that is if you dont mind. I hope this helps you a little. That is the way mine and the ones I have seen are anyway. Like I said they may have changed it by 98. They change everything so often it is hard to keep up. Good luck.

Re: gear ratio

You can "build" your own truck all over again if you have the codes by going to the Chevy web site. From there you need to go and select the s-series section of the site and build your own. Select only the items that you have listed in your glove box and it can give you a pretty good idea of what you have as options.
