Stiffer gas pedal...
Hey all,

I was thinking of putting a stiffer throttle return spring on the throttle body of my '98 S-10. It might sound like a stupid idea, but I like the possibility of really having to mash on the pedal, and when you're running desert washes, a quick-responding throttle would be a good idea...

Does anyone know if doing this (I was just going to add on a carbuerator spring to add to stiffness) is going to affect anything in the long haul? I won't do it if it's going to affect my emissions or anything like that.

Re: Stiffer gas pedal...
I dont think that would effect any thing other than a stiffer throttle at the peddle. If that is what you want go for it.

Just add another spring just like it on there, then mash that there peddle, after all what ever floats your boat. Jason

Well, it's not necessarily just for kicks, don'tcha know. It's more for throttle control and to make sure the throttle doesnt stick when I'm going up a wash (plenty of throttle action going on at this point).

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't messing with something of a mechanical nature that could bite me back later.
