Cruise Control

I have a 1987 Chev. S10 4x4 with 2.8L V6 and my cruise quit working...The fuse is good...what could be wrong? Thanks for your help.

Re: Cruise Control

On mine I had a vacuum source hooked onto it (Not sure if it's the same style or not, but something to check for)... Vacuum line might be bad (if applicable) Maybe a short in the wire, or maybe the speed sensor isn't communicating with it? Is it injected or carbed? Not sure of those had a speed sensor yet, or just a regular speedometer cable...

Re: Cruise Control

check the vacuum to the servo(under the hood)first.
there is also a large assortment of switches that work
off the brake and clutch pedals. I messed with mine for
a week before I got smart and checked these switches,
turns out there is one way up high on the clutch I missed
3x finaly found it. It had popped put, 15secs and no $$ later
I had cruise again. If you need wiring diagrams I have the factory
ones.
