Factory Limited Slip

As I was trying to figure out my gear ratio this morning, I came across an unexpected surprise. My rear differential apparently is equiped with a factor installed limited slip device. Needless to say, I'm quite happy about this, but now I'm wondering how good the factory limited slips are for the S-10. Any opinions?

Re: Factory Limited Slip

I know when I still had mine it worked pretty good even w/33's.But I went and had the truck re-geared w/4.10's and some kind of
after market locker. I love how the locker works. Workes a lot better for the type of driving I do.

Re: Factory Limited Slip

The factory limited slip option is AWESOME compared to an open diff and a truck that gets a lot of highway miles. I found myself having problems getting sideways in dirt corners (and I was trying) and it just went where I pointed it.

If you don't want a full blown locker in your truck (right now anyway), the LSD that Chevy puts in is pretty darn good.
