FYI on 30X9.50\'s

Just put some 30x9.50's on my stock height 96' S-10 4x4 extended cab and they fit with absolutely no, let me repeat that, no rubbing. What a difference too! Yeah, it only lifted the truck about 1.5", but it sure looks alot tougher. Also, the tires I put on only measured a true 29" diameter, but, after measuring how much room is left in the fenders and how much travel the wheels have, I'd imagine I could still get away with some tires that had 1" longer diameters and 1" wider tread than the ones I have now (i.e. a tire that was truly 30 inches in diameter and 9.50 inches wide). Unfortunately, I did notice a considerable power loss (3.42 gears), but nothing that starting out in first gear instead of second won't fix I figure I would have to re-gear to a 3.7 to get my power back, but if I had that kind of money I'd be sticking in 4.1's, 4" lift kit, 33 inchers, custom dual exhaust, etc, etc, etc . Anyways, just thought I would let anyone considering the 30x9.5's know that they don't rub at all on my 96', S-10, 4x4, LS, running stock rims and stock height..

The lettering says "Liberator-All Terain". I think they are made by BFG, but I'm not sure. I got em at Walmart, and they seem like a good tire (have deep tread and 6plys). I'll have to see how they hold up.
