Re: Lift Kits
There are 3 suspension lifts. Super lift makes a 2" for $500 that basically helps crank up the torsion bars. It tends to eat CV joints because it doesn't lower the diff, it even says that in their install manual. It wouldn't be my first choise. The other two are Rancho 3" and Trail Master 5" both a little over $1000. They relocte everything and are rather involved. Something you can't do unless you are handy with a welder and general mechanical knowledge. I'm poor and not to bright, so I opted for the body lift. With 3" you can run 31's no problem or 32's if you trim the fenders (depending on rim offset). Beware, if you are plagued with the 2.8 you are limited to how big you can go depending on gear ratio. My 2.8 auto with 4.10's struggles to turn 31's.
