Re: 4.3 litre Gas millage question

Mine gets 20-22 mpg highway, 15-18 mpg in town. (96' 4.3L Vortec, 5 speed manual). I'm fairly sure that's what it is desinged to average.

Re: 4.3 litre Gas millage question

That sounds about right. Since I have bigger tires on mine and no compensation for the speedometer yet, I show about 17-18 mpg. So it's probably closer to what Steven is showing.

That's not what i wanted to hear. I only get 12mpg. I think it's time for a 350. ;P

You might want to check the O2 sensor... I think that could help kill your mileage... It is fuel injected isn't it?

Re: 4.3 litre Gas millage question

Oh, it could be any number of things. Another item to check is to see if your catalytic converter is getting plugged up. Maybe do the whole compression thing and see where your valves are at.

Or, you could go with a 350... It's up to you...
