i was looking into the bravada middle 90's and up )smart trak I know it uses the same t-case as the all wheel drive vans, the syclone, and the typhoon so is this 1.a full time wheel drive or
2. or just transfers power through the t-case

my only question is that I'd hate to be driving one , be slipping, end up stuck before the system was like "hey you think we ought to engage?" lol


Also my other query about the system is if i would pull anyone out of snow bank If its a power transfer system i dont think it would do the system anygood to pull people out ( and yes the s-trucks can pull people out as I retrieved a pathfinder , a bronco, and 13 other cars last winter)

the smart trac isnt all time in kicks in when wheels slip. i have a 91 bravada its all time but it great in the mud, pulling my boat and 4 wheelers . it has a k&n and a flowmaster and 31 grip spurs soon to have 5 inches of lift and 32 x11.5 . i have had no probs with mine except i rolled it febuary. my opinion i wouldnt have one with smart trac i have seen them stuck to easily
