As you all know Joe is my closet M151 buddy only living about 40 miles North of me In OK.
Joe and I made a trade last month, He wanted the USMC Non demil M151A1 with the glove box, and Nate needed the suspension racks/axels for his 1960 M151 with Run #1 stamp.
The Mutt Joe had is very, very rough and well stripped, and what ever was not stripped was very rusted anyway.
Joe had to pull the power pack from the mutt before he could bring it down to my place (Thanks again for doing so JOE!)
This Junker Mutt as Joe calls it has been passed around and parts have gone in all directions, and now I have it.
Anyway we unloaded it in a Vietnam type monsoon down pour ...LOL
and man we had to run for cover as it just rained harder and harder...LOL
Of course it started the very second we went to unload the dang Mutt...LOL
The Mutt still has one more stop after I am done with her.
I plan to take all the little stuff that Joe left on the mutt off and remove the fenders as they could be used by someone either to replace a fender or just spare sheet metal.
Then the next trip this mutt will be on will be to South West Texas
RMCLESTER is coming all the way up from Rockport Texas, as he also needs some rear frame items he had posted about.
And he is in luck as the one place this old Junker was not rusted out bad is exactly waht he needs...LOL
So this old Marine Corp Mutt did not go out in vain, she was used to help other mutt' owners fix their Mutt's and that is a good thing for sure.
