Honestly the closer I have inspected this new mutt of mine the more I like it and the better shape is appears to be in.
This rare 1966 Ford M151A1 Marine Corp MUTT with Glove box was a prize!
The fact that it's a Non Demil is best of all, but the steel is very fresh in most places with very little rust other then the front floors, which are repairable vs haveing to replace them completly!
I was able to get some heat stripping and sanding in before the rain came, so I had to dry everything off and just throw some primer on the exposed areas for the night in case it rains again.
I just took these three pictures a little while ago to show how nice the front fenders are and how well they cleaned up and took a coat of primer.
Oh and hear is the Budd body plate info.
BUDD S/N 29729
See if anyone has a close number to this one???
I have a feeling someone is going to want to steal this Mutt from me in the future...LOL
Have seen a lot of new guys out their that just want to buy a restored running mutt.
I like to build them and restore them it's more personal that way between you and the vehicle.
Here are the pictures, not much to look at but it is a start.
Anytime you find a M151 that has a licence plate, their is a good chance the vehicle has history that you can research and most likely even get a New Title for.
Here is the rusty plate on this M151A1, so I have a good chance of finding it's history and previous owners.
Just a little hint.
