Need some Advice

I just came out to my Grandpa's place yesterday and he told me he was selling his 1990 4x4 Ford Ranger for (4,500) Its in grate shape he kept it very CLEAN. The Advice I am seeking is how is a Ranger at off-roading and is there MODs for this year of truck? What I really want is a Toyota Tacoma. But with an offer like this for only 4,500$ and its in good shape I mean very good shape, the paint looks NEW and the in-side clean as New too. So maybe someone can help me out give me some advice about this truck and maybe let me know if I can fix it up to get kinda crazy. I don't want to Jump it at all just want to do dirt-roads, mudd stuff like that so (Trials) just have a good time make it look good as far as an off-road veichal.

Sounds overpriced. I bought my 1992 F-150 4x4 for 5000 andit was in immaculate condition with only 114,000 miles

I agree sounds over priced to me to. Go back and see if Grandpa will give you a better deal.
