Steering Troubles

I was driving home from work this evening, when I came around a left hand bend in the road, the right front of my truck started to vibrate (it felt like there was a lump in the tire or like i was running over a bunch of bumps in the road). It seems to steer funny sometimes, and I was wondering what it was that is causing this. It needs tie rod ends, wheel bearings, and ball joints. I took it out for a drive a little later, and it didn't do it anymore. If you guys can help out there, I'd really appreciate it. This message board has to be the greatest out there. Re: Steering Troubles

Its most likely your tie-rod ends. Is the truck lifted? If so, then your drop-pivot brackets are probably loose, too.

Re: Steering Troubles

No, my truck is not lifted as of yet, when i had it out today, whenever i'd make a right hand turn, after i got around the corner, or bend, it would want to pull to the right a little. It would correct itself after a couple of minutes. Does it cost much to have the ball joints and tie rod ends replaced? I just sunk over 11 hundred bucks into this truck 2 months ago, i don't want to see another bill like that for quite sometime, as I'm sure none of you guys would. Thanks for the input. Re: Steering Troubles

I dont recall ever having steering issues with bad balljoints, but i have driven with bad rod ends before, and it is scary! Id start there and see if that changes anything.
