Front end Locker for 2k2 F-150 (IFS)

Hello everyone,

Been looking in my latest off road magizine and was reading about Locking differentials. I was wondering if anyone can give me advice. I have a 2k2 F150 (5.4L) 4X$ with IFS. I have a limited slip in the rear end but was considering maybe a Detroit Locker for the front. I live in Buffalo so I usually drive in the snow. However I do like to go off road once in a w3hile and want some extra traction. I guess that I'd have to consider a electronic locker if I want to put it on the front. I need to be able to disable the locker when not in 4 wheel and also when not on soft ground. I've tried other websites for info but didn't have the exact info I needed. Any coments or info would help. Thanks.

I take it you want to know if Detroit has a locker for you? Call them first and ask.

Yeah I bet they do have an Electrac for you because their demo vehicle is a ~2000 F150 that should have the same front differential as your truck. Just give em a ring
