Electric tcase to manual conversion

its realy crude drawing but what I am planning is to take the old shift gear and lathe it down so its got a V groove in it. Then I plan on mounting a rod on two hunks of angle iron under the seat with a rod and a pulley. I would then run a v belt from the pulley under seat to the newly constructed pulley on the t case. Put a handle on the rod end and build a belt guard and it should work. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Tried to fix electric motor already but its shot. Plus i want some reliability. Might use a chain instead of a belt. Some opinions please?

Re: Electric tcase to manual conversion

A pulley & cable system is bulky and very subject to frame twist & the body shifting on its mounts. If you have to do this, use a cable shifter like tiny sports cars use; sorta like the e-brake cable, but one made for pushing & pulling.

But you'd be much better off either fixing the motor or swapping to a manual-shift t-case like Ratheon did.
