Got my axlehousing back!

Iddn't it puuuuuurdy?

The green tape is high-temp masking tape that allows you to peel off sections of the powdercoat. I used it on the bearing surfaces, but I might have to scrape it off the seal surfaces, too.

I actually wanted the inside coated, but there was a misunderstanding. Oh, well - no biggee. This black has a gloss of 30; there's also a 90 available!

Yeah - what does it look like NOW????? I paid my new neighbor (who runs the biggest powdercoating plant in this part of the country) less than what I make for an hour of work - SO THERE! Re: Got my axlehousing back!

yeah, he's serious! he just had his front end rebuilt back to 3.08 from 3.55, so I'm guessing he has no problem doing the same to the rear Steve, it still looks good from what I remember, but it's been awhile since I've seen it without its protective coating of mud
