Anyone ever call your rig a J**p?

I'm a Chevy guy, but I think early Broncos are pretty sweet. Do people always come up to you and ask you about your "Jeep"? People always call mine a Bronco, and I was wondering if this happens to you guys. Does anyone ever call them Blazers?

I don't currently own a early Bronco but I used to own one and people used to do that pretty often, but I never let it bother me why sweat the little things.

Yeah, but they were able to get the bleeding stopped in a few minutes. Grandma'll never say THAT again!

EB's look a lot differant than Jeeps or Blazers. No one that has owned either one would make a mistake in their identity. Early Broncs are definitly Kool..

Hey, what's wrong with Jeeps? You should take it as a compliment. J/K. I totally understand how that could piss some off.

Yeah I own a lifted samurai running 33's people always thinks it's a heep, I guess cause most of them have never seen anything else lfted that high with out a top besides a heep

Driving off-road needs to be done well, like throwing a fly at a rising trout in dark, calm waters. Take pride in the task, and the reward is more than the destination.

Re: Anyone ever call your rig a J**p?

well i am a jeep owner so yeah of course i call mine a jeep. but what peeves me is when people call it a car. "hey i like your car!" shutup, its a jeep, get it right or dont talk at all. i cant stress it enough, its not a CAR. cars are low to the ground, something my JEEP is not. but as far as broncos go....theyre just broncos, not jeeps, not trucks, not CARS...just broncos.

Re: Anyone ever call your rig a J**p?

What REALLY pisses me off is when people call them SUV's. Yes the Bronco is a Sport Utility Vehicle by definition, but it should not be referred in the same class as vehicles like the new BMW P.O.S., which really has no place off the pavement. The Bronco definantly does not fit in this new classification of vehicles. It is in a class of its own. Like you said, "they're not jeeps, not trucks, not CARS...just broncos"

My two bits!

Re: Anyone ever call your rig a J**p?

I can share in your anger. My ex-girlfriend kept calling my Blazer a car and SUV or a Bronco. I don't need to say why we broke up.
According to the EPA to classify as a truck the vehicle must meet one of the following critria.
1. Designed primarily for transportation of property or a dririvative of such vehicle.
2. Designed primarily for transportation of people with capacity to transport more the 12.
3. Designed primarily for off-street or off-highway operation.
According to the NHTSA:
1. Transport more than ten people
2. Provide temporary living quaters
3. Transport property in an open bed
4. Provide greater cargo-carrying capacity than passenger-carrying volume
5. Permit expansion for cargo-carrying capacity.
I fould all this today (April 29, 2001) in the Transportaion Section of the Chicago Tribune.

My truck ain't leaking oil it's marking it's territory!
