Whats it worth???

I currently am about to purchase my first EB (right now i own an '89 full size). I have a friend that wants to sell me his '68. The paint is ok, not lousy. It is all four drum brakes (no power). There is no power steering. I will probably replace the metal "dash" panel. The whole interior floor is rhino lined. There are only two little dings on it i think, and i can get those done once i prep it to get painted. Oh, and most of the emergency brake components need to be replaced. This truck has a 289 in it and is fast as hell (im used to a tired 351 in my full size). As far as i can see, everything works fine. The main things im looking at is the brakes, steering, and a paint job (i'll prep it). I dont think he knows how much it is worth, and quite frankley, i dont either. What would be a good price?????

I would think about $4,000 would do it.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, then why do they taste like meat?

Re: Whats it worth???

Your bio doesn't indicate what part of the country your from but this may affect the price to a southwestern truck brought up to the rust belt brings a higher price than one that has the ussual rust on it.
