Need np435

I have a 72 Bronco and am currently looking to replace the stock 3spd w/ a np435. Because my 351w keeps eating them and want the granny gear, if anyone can help that would be great!

Re: Need np435

My only advice is that you check on the required number of splines, and length of the tranny. The NP435 had several veriations. I know the one that works is from a 70's F-series 2-wheel drive truck (not sure on the exact year). Advanced Adapters sells one for a little more than $1000. This will be your best bet.
Hope this helps.

P.S. I ate stock gears with a slightly modified 302. Even a 351 will not eat gears with a NP435. This will be a hapily spent $1000, believe me.

Re: Need np435

Im in the middle of buying a 72 with a 351. It has the stock 3 spd tranny. I never thought I'd say something like this, but its too nice to take in the trails and mud. Will the 3 spd hold up to daily driving with 275+hp?

Fellow Engineer. The best thing you could do to reduce your frustratons and stress, is buy the Bronco, regardless of the conditon. You will have to upgrade the tranny with that kind of H.P. I blew out the tranny once with 210H.P. and twice in one year with 350H.P. on a 302. This was all on-road driving.
You don't mention the $$'s but if it has any work done to it, it is worth $3000+++.
