Re: INFO ON 35\" TIRES

I don't have alot of personal experience, but I have been hearing, reading and asking alot about the new Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's, and it has been nothing but good. All the guys that I have seen with them have loved them. They are supposed to have great treadlife, super sidewalls, awesome rock crawling traction and strength, and one of the quietest road tires. Again, don't know from personal experience, but that is what I am planning on for later this year.
GENTLEBEN, the Swamper Radials, I haven't heard too much, but it hasn't been good. I would definitely like to hear more about them.

Dave.

Re: INFO ON 35\" TIRES

I guess it depends on you budget. Because of the low wear expectancy of mud tires on pavement, I'm inclined to recommend a second line tire like a Sidewinder, or Mudking. Second line tires seem to last just as long as the expensive tires, might be louder, maybe, but are half the price, usually sized up to 35x12.50. I've run the Sidewinders (General second line, I think), my buddy ran Mud Kings (BFG second line) results were good, and the price was right. If you had a specific offroad venue in mind and a budget to match, then by all means buy the tire that suits.

Re: INFO ON 35\" TIRES

I have a 78' Bronco w/a 6" home made lift.I run the generic BFG mudder 35" tires & it still rides like a Cadillac!! I recently put on 39.5
Super Swamper Boggers & made a triple stabiliser for my steering & does a big difference, but for going to bias plies it still does'nt
do it real good on the streets. If you want to go to 35's you won't go wrong cuz I know the difference. You'll like it!

Re: INFO ON 35\" TIRES

I like the swamper radial. I removed a set of goodyear mt 35 inch. the tires have a nice ride on pavement and work great off road. the tires made my bronco hook up a lot better in the rocks. I did not seem to spin as much as when I had the goodyears.
My bronco has a 5.5 suspension lift and a two inch body lift and frontand rear fenderflares. Had to trim the fenders also. I have now totally cut the fenders. Plan on getting 38,s
