Transmission conversion

I'm new to EB's, as a former CJ owner I am the proud owner of a '69 Bronco. The trouble is after owning 8 CJ's I knew pretty much the ins & outs do's & dont's. But these fords are a different machine entirely. But I like it, My question is what is the cheapest & easiest 4 speed for my 302 engine/Dana 20 t-case? (It has that wretched 3 speed in it now) Are there any bolt in's? Maybe a T-18 or NP435? What about the top loader T/C 4 from mustangs or light duty F-150's Are they any good? This bronc will see light to moderate trail riding (no rocks) but mostly street and snow driving with Wild Country 33x12.50 TXR's What do you 3 guys suggest?

Re: Transmission conversion

I think the T18 will bolt on to the 302 and the Dana 20. Worth a call to Almost Adapters. I swapped out the 3 speed with a nv4500 with the AA "kit." I think the 4 speed is a rea cheap/easy way to go. I actully have some charts for just about every engine/tranny/transfer case somewhere. If you're intrested Email me and I'll scan them and send them to you.
