First problem in 9 years
Today the wife says the check engine light comes on and goes out .
Took it for a drive and it seemed to cycle.
Read the codes::::::::::::::::111, 114, 116, 336
All seemed to indicate a temp sensor. NOT . I change the thermostat with no fix.
The problem was a vaccum leak, Believe it or not.
On a 1992 351 bronco the heat hoses lay on top off the vaccum expansion chamber or juice can.
The can had rusted thru where the hoses contact the can.
Glued the holes closed with hot glue and a patch. It fixed the problem. The wife has it out now and she called in and reported no check engine lite at all. Will replace juice canister monday from dealer parts.
Just a word of caution. The problem of poor vaccum had nothing to do with the codes the computer read out.
