Hardly runs in Damp weather
This has probabaly been brought up before but I need some help, it's driving my crazy! First off, I have installed all new electrical - thick cap, 8.5mm wires, ignition sealer, new ignition module, coil. Still, when the air is cool and damp my bronc will warm up like normal and then right before normal operating temp, it will barely idle! Smells rich as hell, and will run like this for about 15 min. then clear up and run fine, it only does this at idle speed. I've checked all I can think of - choke not pulling off, elec. choke power, float levels new power valve. I'm still running the junk factory 4180C Holley/Motorcraft carb that has been rebuilt in the last 4 mo. but it didn't help. I still have a lot of the emissions crap still on there and I'm about to completely remove it, no emission control laws here. What is a good aftermarket carb that would bolt right on to existing setup?
86 Bronco XLT - 351W H.O., C6 to NP208, Dana 44 front, 9 in rear 3.50 gears turnin' 32 x 11.50 tires, Nothing fancy, just a good ol' huntin' truck!
