33\'s on stock 94 eddie bauer

hello all i have a 1994 eddie bauer bronco with 31 inch tires,5.8 351w.my problem is that i want to put 33's on my truck do i need a lift?one shop told no lift is needed and that they wont rub at all. another shop told me all i need is to level out the front and it would be no problem. and still another shop says i need atleast a 3 inch body lift but a 4 inch suspension lift would be better. so who is right? i am new to the 4x4 world and dont know who to beleive. so any help would greatly be appreciated thanks

I had a 93' with 33" tires you will hit the front bumper when turning so I would reccomend a lift or youll half to cut the bumper...

One of the broncos....

Re: 33\'s on stock 94 eddie bauer

I have an 89 and a 93 bronco, both with 33's. On the 89 i have blocks in the front coils and the 33 x 12.50 TSL's only rub slightly on the radius arm on full lock turn, and the 33 x 12.50 MT's on the 93 srcubbed a lil bit on the front bumper until i loosened it up and mounted it flush with the bottom of the grill. Have fun and good luck with yours, you'll love the 33's. I personally love them because I like the look of large tires without a lift with the fenders full.

Re: 33\'s on stock 94 eddie bauer

I put 33's on 15 x 8's on my '95 when it was stock. I had already moved the bumber forward about a 1/2" (you can put washers in between where the bumper bolts to the frame. Then I only had to trim the bumper edge that comes closest to the wheel. A little tight, but it fit, no rub anywhere, including the radius arms, with the proper rim (offset). No problems, easy fit for rear. When you decide 33's are not quite enough, then you will need the lift, as I did.

How bad is yall`s low-end torque with 33s and stock gears? thought about putting 33s on mine but afraid of how bad it may be off the line. Mines still pretty stong with a mildly built 5.0 and 31 inchers.

As already mentioned, you'll have to trim the bumper a little (no one will ever notice) or just space it forward for '92-96. See also:

When I had the 33's and 3.55's, living in Denver torque was not good, even with the 5.8. Switched to 4.10's and much better. Now I live at sea level and seem to have the perfect match for what highway and off-roading I do using the 4.10's, 5.8, E4OD, and 35's. Motor stock with upgraded ignition, cat back, and K&N.

It really depends on the actual tire diameter. 32 inch will cause no problem. 32.7 rubs a bit but not bad.
