Re: Blacked Out???

Cool! Don't skip the tailgate trim panel (if it has one) and the side mirrors when you take the pictures. I've been trying to black mine out for years.

BTW A guy in a truck accessories shop told me that powdercoating kits were available that you put in your oven to cure. He said Summit and JC Whitney might offer them, but I haven't been able to find the kit anywhere. Have any of you ever seen something like that?

Re: Blacked Out???

mine was blacked out from the factory...i was thinking a long time ago about going to chrome but i think it looks sporty like the black trim on turbo regals and police spec crown vics...if youre trying to black your's out, i havent seen any in summit or jc whitney... i'll ask around at crownvic.net cause a lot of the guys do this stuff to their cars to look like cop cars...

92' Ford Bronco, 351, all black bumpers and grille, 2/3 lowering 93' lightning rims and engine mods coming soon...

Re: Blacked Out

Thanks!!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It's more expensive than I expected ($150), so now I'm considering the Metal Blackening System for $40 - actually, I had been looking for this, too, but I had been told it didn't exist.

Thanks, again! Eastwood has TONS of cool sh!# !!!
(And free catalogs!)
