balljoints and tie rods

my bronco is going in to have the front end checked next week. i believe that its either balljoints or tie rods. there is play in the front tires when its jacked up both up and down and side to side. my front tires also tilt in at the top quite noticably a chevy friend tried to tell me its just how fords sit .what should i be looking for as far as price i dont want to get screwed the guy doing it charges 40 bucks an hour and i know the parts are cheap. do they make heavy duty ball joints and tie rods and if so are they worth it? also my wheel bearings were changed about 400 miles ago so that should rule that out.thanks for the info in advance just so you know its an 89 w/ 35x12.5s on 15x10 rims stock drive train and 3 inch body lift with an auto c6 and warn hubs.

Re: balljoints and tie rods

The parts are about $25 each for good ball joints ($100 total) and about $30 each for the tie rod ends ($120 total). I've never heard of HD versions of either. Just because someone did something to the wheel bearings recently doesn't mean they're fine now - they should still be checked. Wide tires and overloading can cause the wheels to lean in at the top, but it's not normal. They should be aligned ($50 alignment+$50 for camber cams) when the front end is fixed.
