5.8L manifolds

Any body know if I can take the manifold off a 1990 5.8L and put iton a 1996 5.8L? In my recent post I was swapping a 5.0L to a 5.8L and the exhaust manifolds are at a different angle on the passanger side and my stock "y" pipe will not match up. Wanted to use my stock "Y" pipe instead of headders [ only because i'm running out of $$$.

Re: 5.8L manifolds

Have you tried to put the 302 manifolds on the 5.8. They should be the same size-only exits in the proper location for your application. Or, you could buy a set of Pace Setter or some other painted shorty header for about $150-try JC Whitney or Summit Racing. Laters.

Re: 5.8L manifolds

I don't know why they wouldn't. As long as egr tube matches. I can't think of any differances.

No the egr system is totally different. I've decided to buy a new "Y" pipe and go from there.
