Ticking noise-still

I still have that stupid ticking noise. it isn't the canister purge vavle and it isn't the air injection either. it sounds like it is coming from under the pass. side vavle cover, but it dosent seem to be a lifter. could it be plug wire or something to do with really bad rocker arms???

I would expect a bad rocker arm to exhibit the same symptoms as a bad lifter, since they are links in the same chain - opening the valves. A compression test should identify any valvetrain problems.

BTW The fuel rail can emit loud ticking as a result of the injectors operating. Put your finger on it and see if that's the source.

thanks i know im in need of rockers bigtime and was hoping this ticking could have somethin to do with it

Just a thought, I bought a pcv valve from auto f'n zone and it made the loudest ticking noise drove me crazy. Took it of and got one from napa haven't had the ticking noise since. (cheap fix). don't shop at the f'n zone anymore.
