ring gear diameter

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the ring gears of Dana 28 IFS and Dana 35 IFS axles that were used on Bronco II's? Also,
what is the weak point of these axles, the aluminum diff case?

Re: ring gear diameter

Dana 25 = 6.500"
Dana 28 = 6.625"
Dana 30 = 7.200"
Dana 35 = 7.563"
Dana 44 = 8.500"
Dana 60 = 9.750"

Don't know about 28/35 IFS weak points. Supposedly, the 35 was installed in the front of some 4.0L Aerostars & Rangers although my Aerostar has a 28.

My inclination would be to avoid the 28 altogether.
