Curious about optional equipment

I've been looking through junkyards for a while now, and I'm beginning to wonder what my real chances are of finding a pair of sliding campershell windows. How many of you have or have seen (IRL not in photos) 80-up Broncos with this option? Is there an aftermarket window that slides?

Also, purely out of curiosity, how many of you have jump seats just inside the tailgate? I bought the only pair I ever saw in a junkyard, and I've only seen one other truck with them. How common was this option?

Re: Curious about optional equipment

I've only seen sliding side windows on 78/79 Bronco. they came with a package. either a ranger package or an explorer package. Its been so long I can't remember.

I don't think I've seen any that fit the 80+ window shape. Doesn't mean they don't exist, only I've never seen them.

Re: Curious about optional equipment

They exist - I've seen 4 sets now, but couldn't separate any of them from their owners. I don't know how long this option was available, but certainly in 82 & 83.

Re: Jump seat pics

Yeah, in my album on webphotos. My nickname there is "steve" (surprise!). Pic #16 "Late reassembly" shows one of them.

Sound off like ya got a pair!!!!!!

Of sliding windows!!! WoooHoooo!!! Finally found a set and bought 'em at MY price: CHEAP. Now I just have to replace all the dry-rotted weatherstrips, seals, & gaskets, and find another catch, clean them, get them tinted, and swap them in.
