8 lug conversion kit?

hey guys...i just bought a dana 44 from a 79 bronco, that im going to put in place of my dana 35 TTB in my 92 ford explorer. im also putting in a dana 60 from a 78 1 ton in the back, that has the 8 lug pattern. is there a way that i can get a kit or a conversion process to change the 5 on 5.5 to the 8 lug pattern? this way i just need one spare!

thanx a lot!!

Re: 8 lug conversion kit?

I know that '78 and '79 F250s got a 8 lug Dana44, You'll need to find both Disc and Hub. assuming the rotor was the same size - if it wasn't you'll need the brake hardware and the hanger also. Around here 4x4 F trucks are few and far between so good luck, I don't know of any conversion kits, but I've never looked.

'78 Custom 4"Lift 36"HummV tires Factory Rollbar-QuadShock-4Speed. '78XLT A/C, Cruise. '83Custom A/C and sweet paintjob.

Yeah, that sounds right. Everything from the spindle out should be able to be gotten off an f250 and put on your 44. good luck, sounds cool, i've never seen an 8lug explorer.

It's a Jeep thing? My Bronco thing will run over your little Jeep thing.
