dual shock mounts?

I have a '90 bronco bought used. Thinking about a 4" lift when I looked under the front I only have one shock per side. But there is a mount on the bottom on the front for another shock but no upper mount. Am I not seeing it? Or is this how it comes?

The upper mount should look something like this:

Re: dual shock mounts?

Why is that spring fully compressed and what is that orange thing inside the coil?

It's a Jeep thing? My Bronco thing will run over your little Jeep thing.

Re: dual shock mounts?

They don't come from the factory with a lower shock mount but no upper. The standard dual shock setup has a blank spacer bracket there - I just swapped mine out. I'm betting your axle has been changed and the donor vehicle had quads. If the axle still has its tag, see if the year matches your truck.
