axle swap on 4-wheel abs bronco

I have a 1996 Ford Bronco with 4-wheel ABS (ford RABS II)
and OBD-II. I would like to swap in a dana 60
in the front and something comparable in the rear. My
concern is how to handle the ABS. I've *heard* that
just not hooking up the ABS can cause problems and I'd
like to retain it anyway. The rear doesn't seem to be
a problem since I can get a Ford F250/F350 10.25" rear
or an E250/E350 dana 60 or 70 with the tone ring
and sensor. But what about the front end? Ford did not
offer a dana 60 with abs and I don't know if I could hook
up a new ford dana 50 w/ abs or would want to?

Well, you could just put a non-abs front end under there. That's what I'm planning to do. I kept ruining the front abs ring and sensor so i just pulled all of it off and unplugged the sensors and the brakes work fine (minus the ABS). I'm not sure what your options are if you want to keep the ABS up front...but would like to hear what you find out.

RABS-II is not 4WABS. Why do you need a 60 in the back? Do you have a 5th-wheel in the bed?

Anyway, I THINK the tone rings from your current front will fit the hubs from a 4WD F-250 and you can probably drill holes in the steering knuckles for the sensors. It will be a trick setup - take pics!!!
